Here's a good one. On Saturday morning I was heading to pick up a friend and then off to work. As I was pulling up to a set of lights a "67" Firebird pulled in front of me, slowly. It then pulled off the road on a weird angle; like it stalled. As I swerve to go around the Firebird I noticed the smoke coming form the front of the hood.  I said to my friend jokingly "oh no over heated." As I stopped at the light a guy in a truck pulled up beside me, got out and knocked on my truck window. I rolled the window down the man said in a panic "Do you have a fire extinguisher?" As I look in my rear view mirror I see flames coming out of the hood of the "67." I quickly and safely pull a u-turn and ran over to the car. The owner (and another guy that pulled over) are trying to out the fire with water. You know what happens when you put water on a fuel fire! The problem spread quickly. Now we have a fire! As we stood watching this poor muscle car burn, all we could do is wait for the fire trucks the arrive. I notice a truck and boat coming down the road.  Being a recent boat owner I knew there must be a fire extinguisher on board. I quickly ran over to the truck and asked "do you have a fire extinguisher in the boat?" He replied with a "ya" and we (him, his wife and I) ran to the boat. His wife was moving stuff around and couldn't find it. Finally the guy jumped in the boat and found it. He began to pull on the extinguisher but was unable to remove it from its harness. I jumped in the boat, released the lock and ran for the hopeless Firebird. I pulled the pin and put the fire to rest saving the car! The owner was excited about saving his pride and joy from a most certain death. The fire trucks arrived about 4-5 minutes later (after going the wrong way up the street from the lights) I guess this is my good karma for the week. Being a car buff I couldn't watch it burn. More then glad I could help keep a classic from going to the shit heap!

Looks so different but the same?????

Time to throw some more $$$$ at it!

K, the poor things been sittin' for about a year and a half since any works been done to to it.
I've finally got the Hooker long headders on it. There was a lot of smashing and bending and swearing involved but there in! I also put in new bearings and races and fresh spindels. I've cut the body damage out from under the passenger side and am making new roll pan. Seems to get harder and harder to find the time and help building this car. Its going to happen, its just going to take a lot longer then planed. Here's some more recent pics of my gem to sooth your eyes.
